I'm looking for a good performance shop near San Jose Ca. that can install heads and all the bolt ons for cheap. Also any places to get your car tuned around San Jose. Just move out here from ATL GA.

Do not go to Apex motorsports in santa clara....I dealt with them on ebay recently and they lagged...didnt answer emails or the phone....Did not care about customers like you would want a shop taking care of your car to. Just my experience with them..I considered going to them for some future work but after that I will not be calling them anytime soon...you find anywhere yet? I dont really know of anyone myself really..let me know if you find someone.

Yeah, I'll keep searching. Someone told me there used to be a shop called Motorsports in Milpitis (spellling is probably wrong) but it closed because business got slow.

If you're from Georgia, you're going to be shocked at the kind of money you pay for anything here in the SF Bay Area. Having said that, Goodies sport shop is in San Jose and has been around for a long time and provides a wide variety of parts and services. As for my experience with them, I've only talked with them on the phone but they were courteous and willing to take the time to be helpful. Good luck

Hayward I know two dyno tuners and install places... Nextgen 510-538-8088 and Newtech 510-785-3278... Both guys really know what they are doing. The tuner at Nextgen is Daniel, the tuner is Newtech is Nick. Neither shop is cheap, but good work and experience costs good money.

You're doing the right thing by researching a Mustang performance shop's reputation before dealing with them. For a basic bolton installs you probably can't go wrong at most places, but if you want a more hard core shop, check out Advanced Engine Development in san jose 916-715-7569 They've put out some of the fasetest and highest HP mustangs in the state of California.

I don't have any experience with nextgen, but Nick and Newtech tuned my Mach 1 sometime ago and he was great to deal with. He really took his time and got it right...wheras Apex just blows cars in and out and really doesn't take the time with each customer...at least that was my experience.
