I just moved to san diego about 3 weeks ago i don't have any tools or anything. I lowered my car a couple of months ago all of a sudden the passanger side is making a weird noise when im going over bumps. it sounds like a clunking noise kinda like something is loose. I went by the dealership but they said if it has something to do with it being lowered they are going to chage me $93 so i don't really want to do that since the dealership will find any reason to blame it on the lowering. I was wondering if someone would maybe help me out by letting me come over to use their tools to take it back apart before i go to the dealer.

what springs did you use (how much of a drop). Sounds like you're bottoming out and need a bump stop. If it's a creak or a squeak then it's proly you outter tie-rod end bushing needing some type of white lithium. I live kinda close to you and have a good amount of tools. But i live in a town house community and cant work on cars here.

i have the eibach sportline springs. Im not sure how big the drop was but i know its one of the bigger drops. it sounds like something is loose but it doesn't make the noise on the drivers side.

It sounds to me like the exhaust system is hitting the rear axle. When a car is lowered the exhaust gets closer to the rear axle.Jack the car under the axle not the body then look for a part of the exhaust Pipe, that is close to the axle housing then look for contact marks. If you find a contact mark loosen the clamps then move the exhaust far as you can to provide enough clearance.

ok i will take a look at it but wouldn't it be making the noise on both sides not just the passenger side?
