Question where can i get my brakes changed from drum to disc, 1968 Mustang

I have a 1968 Mustang. I was wondering if anyone knows anywhere in Orange County where they're really good and can change them for a good price. Thanks everyone.

Find a mustang club close to you and ask them who they trust.

Have you considered trying to do it yourself? I got the parts from a junkyard a few days ago, and switched them out (under supervision from someone who knew what they were doing) and it wasn't nearly as bad as you might think...only took a few hours.

Either way, good luck with your search, disc brakes made a world of difference in my 68

Hey Krystal, can you elaborate more as to what goes into doing this, because I Am considering doing it to my 68 as well. I will do it myself if I can. I got quoted around $1600 by a shop near me.

We're in north Orange County. Try giving us a call. We deal with all years of Mustangs and other hot rods and can install any kind of brake kit from entry level SSBC that fit under stock wheels, to Wilwood 6 piston road race units dependin gon your needs.

Just send us a PM and we'll give you our info if you're interested!

prices vary quite a bit for different grades of disc brake swaps.

I have a entry level disc brake swap for under 1200 installed which has all the needed hardware including a slotted rotors, new calipers, new spindle, porp valve, master cylinder. The only thing needed is hard line adapters and new hard line from the master cylinder to the porp valve.

another kit is the cobra brake conversion for 13" brakes and 4 piston calipers.

another is a wilwood kit

another is the overpriced SSBC...

I also have a set of original 67 disc brakes, rotor, spindle, caliper complete if interested. The 67 is the same geometry but the disc brakes in 68 were not 4 piston they were single if it maters.

if you have any questions you can look at the my website at pictures or call.
