Default 10 hole rims, 1988 mustang, Tire Question??

I have a completely stock '88 hatcback mustang with 10-hole rims. Currently it has 225x60x15. Its has been recommended to run 245's but my question will both 245x50's or 245x60's fit front and rear ????

Thanks.

Hiya, welcome to the site.
You'd be recommended to go with the 50 series, they're 26 inches tall and will keep your speedo close to, if not completely correct. The 60 series would be about 28 inches tall and would reduce your effective gear ratio and then your speedo would read as being slower than you're actually going.

Thanks,
I ask because the tire stores around here want 18$ to put a tire on and take it off again. Even if your buying 4 tires....

I realize everybody has to get paid but that seems like something they could absorb...Time to shop around a little and find a hungry tire shop.

Heres a car I own/race that gets confused as being a mustang a lot more than your would think...
