Default Tire and Wheel Performance Question for GT

Hey guys, I've been picking up bits and pieces of info from searching the forums around here but it's hard to get it all straight in my noobie brain.

I want to put Bullitt deep dish wheels on, I'm thinking 18x9-F, 18x10-R.

I'm lost on the tire thing, what sizes do guys usually put on these wheels? I'm looking to fill up more of the well and I'm thinking taller tires in the back would look more butch (?)

What sort of performance differences do you get? I hear putting wider tires on the back increases understeer while narrower do the opposite, is that difference noticeable on this car?

If I put taller tires on the rear does that mean i need to have my speedometer and such readjusted or something?

And something i just saw yesterday, tire height affects gear ratio? In what way?

Haha, I'm sorry about how long this is guys, if anyone could answer any part of this i would be very very grateful!

If you put taller or smaller tires on the back you will need to have your computer reprogrammed to adjust your speedometer. Go to Custom wheels, car rims, truck wheels - RIMS-N-TIRES and you can compare tire sizes and it will show what the difference in your speedometer will be.

A taller tire/wheel diameter will effectively decrease your gear ratio.
I think stl has finally settled on 4.10s after having just about every gear ratio under the sun, but I think I remember him saying that he had slightly taller tires on there now which would lessen his gear ratio...I could be wrong on whether it's him or not. But anyway, it depends on how much taller the tire/wheel combo is...of course there's math involved. But I think without doing the math, that increasing the size of your tire/wheel combo by something a little under an inch will do something like effectively numerically decrease a 4.10 ratio to something between a 3.90 and a 4.10. So taller combo decreases the ratio and a shorter combo increases...
