you see people doing it. I never would however. It gives you an 1 1/2'' overhang on each side. Too much angle on the bead. I have 03 cobra rims that I like so I had them widened. I had 2'' added to the inside of the rim. Then I put on a 1'' thick wheel spacer, esentially adding an inch either way. I now run a 315 35 17 Nitto NT01. it costs about $175 per wheel. find Stockton Wheel or Weldcraft online either can do it.
