1994 Mustang GT- Tire size selection

I currently have 265/45/R17 tires on my car right now and have the kumho exsta ASX tires.
I am thinking of replacing the tires for all four wheels but am interested in the goodyear eagle f1 all season tires. The only catch is that the closest size is the 245/45/R17 tires.

The car is all stock and is probably going to stay like that for a while.

Would this reduction in size decrease, increase, or maintain my current level of traction?

It will reduce your traction for sure: are you sure you couldn't find your size? I checked Goodyear's website and here's what I found:
