Default drag radial tire pressure help

i have a set of b f goodrich drag radials 235/60/15 on 15x7 phone dials. my problem is getting them to hook on the street. all i do is spin all the way into 4th gear. any ideas on how to get them to hook better? what tire pressure should i be running.

You can go down to around 18-20 psi if need be with BFG DR's. Play around with the pressure, just try not to go below 17-18 psi.

do i need to shock the tires when i launch. even after a nice burnout, at ~22psi launching at 2500 yields going up in smoke. even feathering it to get out of first, when i get into it in second it smokes the tires again and the same mid rpm in third.
