I've got a 2006 Mustang GT and I'm about to replace the original Pirelli 235/55/17 P-Zero Nero with another tire, and I'm keeping the Factory 17" Billet wheels. The car is lowered using Eibach Pro Kit (1.5"); and is a daily driver.
So, I need you're opinion on what looks the best. On my fox body cars I've put on 245/45/17 and that looks great. What looks best on a 2006 that doesn't mess with performance and handling but is still wider and lower profile - that has the most aggressive look.
I want to stick with the same size tire all the way around the car for maintenance/rotation.
245/45 's?
275/40' s?
?
Does anyone have pics they can post for their 05-08 GT with stock 17" wheels with a wider, lower profile tire?
Thanks

Reason: tire size
I'm going to Discount Tire next week and get a set installed. I originally wanted something with a shorter sidewall, but the same sidewall height as the original tires; but wider look much better and should handle better.
I'm looking at Z Rated - Bf/Goodrich, Kumho, and Nitto's; which are all avilable in 255/50/17's that I know of so far.
Thanks for the link, I've been trying to find pictures of these installed for a while with no luck.

Will post pics of whatever I go with soon.
I had very good luck with Kumho's. Running Nittos now.
I hear Nittos are good, I'd prefer BFGoodrich g-Force T/A/ KDW (I had these on my fox body Cobra, great looking and handling tire).
I also like the looks and reviews of the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tire as well.
The only problem, these tires don't come in a 255/50. They do come in a ** 255/45 **.
Question:
2006 Mustang GT, it's been lowered about 1.5" already, if I put on a set of 255/45's will that be too low? When I say "too low" I mean scraping on speed bumps low?
Anyone know? Later this week I'll have Discount Tire put on one size of each (255/50's, 255/45's) to see what they look like, but I don't want to be surpised with a car that's so low I constantly worry about damage.
OK, I went with the 255/45 - 17 BFG KDW, these look great. Because the car is lowered, I was told the 255/50's would have been too tall. The 255/45's look great.
