Question What tire size should I get for the rear wheels?

I'm stuck on what tire size I should get for my rear wheels,b/c I'm wanting them to stick out past the fender but not a lot? I have the 245/45 ZR 17 on the front and back right now but I'm buying 2 new tires soon. So I need to know what radius I need, and I'm still saying with the 17. Also, what brand of tire is the best? I'm looking at Nitto right now...Any suggestions would be great thanks!!!

Money isn't something I exactly have a lot of so I bought 245/45 for now to put on the back since the rear's were about shot and my front tires are shot right now, so i'm jus taking my rear tires putting those on the front of course and throwing the new tires on the rear whenever I get them. There's only one other person at my school that did this so I want it to look good?

I would not go bigger than a 255-50-17 on an 8" rim.

No problem... A bigger tire will fit but the sidewall will be compromised and it will affect handling.

your tires aren't going to stick past the fender with stock rims. The tires are just flush with the fenders with 315 35 17's on 17x10.5 in. rims. I think the only way to get them close with the stock rims would be to put on wheel spacers.

That's too much tire for an 8" rim. Ask any tire guy.
