Default 245/45/17 mounted on 17x9 cobra wheels

I bought my car with 2003 cobra wheels which I like But after reading a couple threads I realize that a 245/45/17 should not be monted on a 17x9 rim I read through american muscle which said it recommends a 275/40/17 The tires are close to new and I have purchased 315/35/17 rears how much harm is there in running the fronts the way they are I have 275/40 on the rear which i can put up front ,but the rims have some minor damage I cant stand , the question is would I be better off switching the rear 275 to the front rims or run it the way it is for now . I have access to a tire machine and balancer for free?

I bought my car with 17x9s all the way around with 245/45ZR17 tires on the front and 275/40ZR17 on the rear. I haven't had any issues yet, but I will be putting 275s all the way around when they need to be changed. Looking at them you can tell they're just not quite wide enough for the rims though.

In the pictures in my profile you can see there is quite a bit of a difference front and rear between the 245s and 275s on a 9" rim.

thats the set up I have now, when I read the tire recommedations at american muscle the reccomend the 275/40 if you go with the smaller size the tire specs say you could break the bead in a corner I just bought the car and dont need that . I have the 315/35 in my cellar on 17x10.5 so all i have to do is switch tires on the front rims
