Has anyone had any experience running 285/35-18 Nitto Invo tires on the rear of their vehicle ? If so, are their any general issues/special considerations one should bear in mind regarding fitment/useage of these tires on after-market 10" rims (e.g., would you use the same tire if you were to purchase new rear tires again given your experience with the Invo and/or 285/35-18 generally) ?

I am thinking about trying those tires also when I need some new ones. The only setback for me is they look kinda ricey.
good traction is more important though.

A 35 is an awfully short tire... You're really going to kick up your effective gear ratio.

Do you have any tire size recommendation on a rear 18 x 10 inch rim to (1) avoid that issue and remain close to the existing 3.73 I have installed and (2) still provide adequate clearance under near-full rear suspension compression ?

What size tire do you have on the back now?

Ok... Found your tire size in your profile. Your 255-45-18s are 27.04" tall. To keep that aprox height in a 285, you need to with a 285-40-18 (26.98" tall). That'll keep you gearing about the same.

Thanks Mark. BTW, do you or anyone else have an opinion about the Nitto vs. BFGoodridge g-Force KDW-2 (or a completely different 285/40/18 for that matter) for primarily street useage ?
