Default 2000 Mustang GT Vert - 20x9.5 Staggered Rims?

I just bought my 2000 Mustang GT last month. Everything is pretty much stock on it so far. I'm first looking to upgrade my wheels so I figure that since I'm spending so much money on them already, better get the finest.

I was think about black rims with chrome lips and bolts. (Black/Black Convertible) I got an estimate of about $1300 for a decent set. What do you think? Are 20" too big even with wider dishes?

Let me know what you think. (PS. I'm still noob to Stangs)

I read that handeling suffers from the larger rim dia. starting at 18"!! I read that 17" are good but upgrading to 18" would cause a low handeling performance but not very noticable. So I would think that handeling would suffer more and more with each inch increase. BUT if you do not wish to do any high speed driving get which rim and tires that looks good to YOU! Your the driver right? The best thing is to enjoy your ride!

Yea, that's what I figured too. I heard that with increased width, it would increase the handling on 20". I also do a lot of illegal launches and straight way racing, trying to keep it to a minimum though. I'm not too much worried about the handling unless its very noticeable. How much do you think is a good amount to spend on tha rims?

Again, it's up to you. If they make your car look cool or make you feel cool than get em. If it makes you happy....Hell I like the stock 17" not so much at first but more and more. Thinking of getting them gold (colored) plated. I think they would pop better with the candy apple red metallic color of my car. So like I said for it to make you feel glad to have bought them whats it worth to you. P.S. Just as long as they dont cost as much as the car does. Then you have crossed over to stupidville.
