Default New Wheels and Tires this Week

I know I have been asking about this a lot, but this week is the week that I am actually going to get my wheels and tires. I need as much advice and tips as possible before I go for a very EXPENSIVE decision.

So I have a black 00 Mustang GT, and I need advice on what brand of wheels and tires I should look into. I literally have no idea on which is a quality brand to go with and the differences.

I am particularly looking for black wheels which chrome lips and bolts, but could also go with all chrome rims. And possible red brake caliber paint to match my upcoming red racing stripes. I'm trying to go for either 18" or 20" (but really leaning towards 20).

If you guys could give me a few good brand names for wheels and also tires, I would greatly appreciate it. And also suggestions on what would look best. Thanks.

Get the 20's. There are a lot of 20 haters on this site, but I say screw um,my 20s look way better than 18s.I just got the American Racing 20" "Razors"(same as AR Shelby Razors just silver without Shelby stamp). I wish I would have gone with the American Racing Muscle Rouge because they offer staggered size 20x8.5 front, 20x10 rear. I like American Racing because the have nice quality at a good price & come with a lifetime warranty. I got mine off ebay for $580 including shipping. Shelby\Razor on left, Rouge on right. Personaly I don't like the Bullitts or those FR500, too many people have them and they just don't look that good to me.

Those are some sharp looking wheels! And a good price too.

One more tip, American Tire insisted I get a 245\30 tire and its too low profile to me. Their recommendations are obtained by suggesting the tire thats overall diameter is the same as stock...so if you get 20"s they will suggest 245\30s. Now I'm stuck with almost no sidewall. Next time I will get something wider and taller like a 255\40. There are some pics in my profile but some are of some old 19"s.

Not sure about the 20's on a SN95. I'm not a hater, just don't think they look all that. I haven't seen to many thats for sure.
Id like to see some with the 255/40 size or so that BigKevo recommended. definitely needs more sidewall.

The 18"s in a deep dish's I've seen look sweet with a 315 on it.

Go to tire rack dot com. They have a lot of nice rims in there and you can even put your car up there and see what it will look like.

I think I am going to go with the 20" Black Rogues.
I just hope my cars shine can keep up with the shine of the rims.
I get the feeling the car color will look a little duller, what do you think?
And should I get them from a dealer or off of ebay? (I wanna spend as little money as possible.)

Default Yes Get Those Rouges

If I knew what I know now I would have those ROUGEs 20x8.5 and 20x10 rears with a fat Drag Radial. I got my 20"s on ebay and have done over 500 transactions on ebay with not one problem. I would get 255\40\20s (4.0" sidewall)up front and 275\40\20 (4.3" sidewall)drag radial in the back. This calculator might help you with tire sizes, Tire size calculator
