question about tire size

Default question about tire size
im going to buy some rims in the next month or so that are 18x9 and i was wondering what a good low profile size would be (im getting nitto 555). im buying them from americanmuscle and they recomend 275/35/18. as im clueless about tire sizes i hope someone can help me.

also my car is a 02 convertable gt its not lowered but i might lower it pretty soon. i might do it at the same time i get these tires and rims.
