Will 2006 wheels fit on my 1996?

I found a cheap set offa 2006 GT. Will they fit on my 1996 v6? They are 17 inch. Also, if they do fit will it make my speedometer inaccurate? If so how much?

While the bolt pattern is correct, the offset and backspacing are considerably different.

I think you can fit them but you will need spacers to get the proper wheel base. 96-04 Mustangs are 24mm offset, 05up are 40mm. Here is a link to a similar thread. http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...my-2002-a.html

Where is a good place to find spacers? I looked at summitracing.com and they were $209 for two. I don't think that they should cost that much. If nothing else my brother works a a metal fab place.

I found a set of 4 at v6mustangstuff.com for $170. It says for 99-04. Will they work on my 96?
