Default What is the benefit of a larger wheel and/or tire

May be a stupid question, but I noticed that a lot of stang owners get 18-20 inch tires, my question is why, as in what is the benefit of a larger wheel and/or tire

I personally like a 17 inch rim. I don't think there is much of an advantage with a larger rim because it will only slow you down. I think its just more for looks.

17's will ride pretty much like stock, 18's will ride a little rough but not bad, 20's can be really rough.
