I have a 87 Mustang 5.0. Pretty much stock. I am looking for some tires and wanted to see what you guys recommend. I am in college right now so I have a limited budget, very limited. I am lowered 2 inches, right now I have 225/45/R17 in front and 235/55/R17 in the rear. (any taller than a 55 side wall will be too much due to limited tire space, i think at least 50 wall would be much better) What is a good tire that will give me traction at a good price and tread life?

Sumitomo and Kumho both make a good tire and they aren't terribly pricey.

toyos are good as well i had kumhos on both my foxes and they were great just becarefull with aluminum rim 17s they bend real easy if you hit a pot hole hard

Nitto 555 is a good tire too, will be my next choice. Have falken azenis now, very quiet and lasted fairly long, but the traction sucks
