Default Wheel and Tire size help

I hate to bring up wheel and tire sizes, cause there are so many threads on here. I have read through a lot of them. I am kinda lost in the wheel and tire world. Right now I have 235/55 ZR17's all the way around. I would like to go with 18's all the way around. 18x9 in the front and 18x10 or 10.5 in the rear. My car is stock height, Just looking for the wide tire look that I see on a lot GT's and Cobras Would also like to keep it inside the fender wells. So if some you guys point me in the right direction.

I run 18x9 in the front with 275/40s there and 18x10 in the rear w/ 285/40s w/ no problems, inside the wheel wells and I'm unlowered.

Do you have any pics ? I like to see the stance of your ride.

I don't- sorry. Hope to get some posted at some point in the very near future though.

My recollection is that some others here - stlwagon (?) - have somewhat similar set ups (though they be lowered a bit).

I run 255-45-18 on 9s in front and 295-45-18s on 10s in back. Lowered 1.25" in back and 1" in front. No clearance problems but it's close!

This is a great staggered setup, and will not effect your speedo accuracy either. It would look great on the stock stance too.

Actually going from 235-55-17s did require a speedo calibration.

I have 255/45's on 18x9's and 285/40's on 18x10's with a Eibach pro kit drop (1.3/1.4) and it looks great to me. But a lot has to do with the offset of the wheels too. Just tell the people you are buying them from what you are looking for and they will know what to do.

For the front tire size, no, but yeah, for the rear size. If the rears had been 40 profile, then it would have been okay.

Correct... The fronts have no impact on speedo.

Here are my Niche 18X8.5 and 18X10

http://www.mhtwheels.com/default.cfm?brand=5

I got 275s on the back now with plans to go with the 295s. Also this is the day of lowing my car with Steeda ultra light springs. The car has settled a little as of then but you get the idea.

love the springs BTW they ride so good for a lowering spring.

I run 295-45s with Steeda Ultralites and clearance is tight but not terrible..
