Default If I go with 20's will it look silly if I dont lower?

Hi friends.....I am about to close the deal on an 08 vista blue GT this week and am ready to start looking at wheels! Its a lease so I dont want to drop crazy doe, but I want to put something on it for summer running. I was thinking to go 20s, either 8.5s or staggered with 20x10 in the rear. I dont think I want to lower it though, will it sit higher, and will it look odd? Does anyone have pics of 20s on a GT thats not lowered? I think the overall dia is about the same as stock once you get into the lower profile 20s, any help would be appreciated!

Awesome forum, cant wait to start posting more and get pics of the new ride this weekend if its gets delivered. Gonna miss my speed6 but - onto American muscle!!!

It wont look funny. It wont look as good as when lowered but it wont look funny im my opinion. If you see a stang with 17's drive by and then see one with 18's I dont think to myself hey the bigger wheels look funny. They just look better. This is just my opinion.
Dont forget those big wheels will slow you down a little bit.

here's a pic before it was lowered... IMO 20s don't look right on the stock suspension.

good luck! and welcome to AFM!

thanks guys for the replies.

I se the pic, I dont think it looks bad, but I do agree lowered it would look SICK! I just dont want to lower a lease car, and in the winter ill swap the stock 17s back on it as well. Maybe 19s is the answer, but seems like the pricing is very similar to 20s probably being there are alot more tires/wheels in 20s vs 19s.

Now I am totally in the fence, I cant see keeping the stockers but maybe itll look better just leaving it? I dont want to break the bank for 2 summers - maybe like 8000 miles between the 2 total.
