Default Problem with Bullitt Tires fitting on 05 V6 mustang.

Ok, so I'm new here, and I have a question. I looked and looked and searched and searched, so if this has been asked before, I'm sorry. I tried.

Anyways, I have a 05 mustang with the stock 16 inch rims, and they're UGLY. I found some Bullitt Rims on Craigslist for $400 and picked them up, thinking they would fit. They do "fit," but I can't get them to sit flush. They don't sit flat, they wobble, like they don't want to go all the way on. If I bolt them on anyway, they're dangerously crooked.

I was told that they are off of an 06 GT, but the guy might have been lying. Would it make any difference if they were off an 99-04?

They're not knockoffs, they say "Ford" on the back.

One person told me I needed spacers, but when I went to buy the spacers, they told me that they didn't think spacers would help.

Anybody have any tips or ideas? Anyone had a similar issue? Any help would be awesome.

Thanks guys.

Default Bullitt wheels

Hey Chad88,

There is a difference between the 05-up versus the older 99-04 bullitt style wheels ande the offset is totally different. The older whells will not be able to mount properly. Check the inside of the rim if they're factory, it may give you some more info / numbers to determine what style they are (yr wise ). Hope that helps. Also the Bullitts are 17" on the older.

Sounds strange. You shouild be able to mount up the older style without a problem. Offset is different, but thats only going to make them stick out a little more than the factory ones. There are plenty of people running with those.

Edit: 2 new members? Something sounds fishy
