Default This 18" or 19" rims will fit on Mustang 2000?

Hi

I'm new here, i just got a Ford Mustang 2000, with stock rims, and i want to put new 18" or 19" rims, but don't know if they will fit.

The 18"x9 rims are the Enkei LS-5 Gloss Black with Red Inserts, with an offset of +40mm.

The 19"x8.5 rims are the Gianelle Spezia 5 Matte Black, with an offset of +38mm.

A friend told me that the max offset for the 2000 Mustang is +35mm, is that true? If so, how can i put any of those rims?

Thanks

I wouldn't try the +38. I tried a set of wheels from a newer mustang on my '04 and they rubbed in the front a little when you turned the wheel all the way. I think they were between +35 and +38.

I think the normal offset for 99-04 is between +18 to +24.

^ I agree. You might be able to run a wheel spacer possibly? Thats alot of money to spend and find out you cant tho!

So, if i add a wheel spacer the offset will be greater?

Or how can i get more offset to put those rims?

I really want any of those, i haven't any other black rims that fit the Mustang and that i like them.

guitar said that he had problems with the tire rubbing, so i was just thinking that maybe if you added a wheel spacer it would push the wheel out farther and give a little clearance... Just a thought but lets see what others think

Yea you would need spacers to push the wheels out further. They have a kit on V6 Mustang Stuff | V6 Mustang Performance Parts and Accessories

I would check with a tire shop to make sure that the offset and backspacing would work right after adding the spacers before ordering anything.

Ok

I think i need to resign on those rims

But maybe i have found an option

This is the Tenzo R DC-6 Black 18X9.5" with an +25mm offset, just +1mm more than the +24mm that is supposed to have the 99-04 Mustang.

If those rims don't fit my car, i think that my last option is this Black Machined Deep Dish Mach 1 rim 17x9" with an +24mm offset.

What do you think?
