Default Chipped Aluminium wheel

Hello I have 300 miles on my 08 Gt California Special, and pulled it in the garage last night and there was a chip out of the wheel. Some how a rock must of hit it. I would say the chip is about the size of a philips head screwdriver. The wheels are polished aluminium. Is there any way a body shop can repair them, or do I need to buy a new wheel? If I do need to buy a new wheel does any one have any suggestions where to get one at a good price. Thank you in advance for your help.

First of all, what in the world do you mean by "the size of a philips head screwdriver"? Please tell us how big it is by length and depth. The best thing to do is post a few pictures of it because everyone's wheel problems are a little different. If your wheel isn't "actually" damaged, why would you buy a new wheel? There's a 100% chance that you're gonna get some more dings and scratches on your wheels just by driving on the road.

That damage wasn't caused by a rock flying into it, that's a classic side effect of curb rash. The only way to prevent that is to not parallel park and make sure you don't run over any curbs. As far as repair, a wheel shop might be able to grind it down a little bit. Just be mindful when parking and making U-turns so you can avoid any further curb damage.

Their is no way that is curb rash. I live in the country and I have not been parking on any city or village streets. If it was curb rash, it would also show up on the tire as well. None the less, the damage is there, and I will first check around localy if that can be repaired. Thanks for your help.
