My BFG's are shot to the point that I'm going to need some new tires. The fronts are cupped bad and the rears are just about to the wear bars. This after only 20k miles and 2 alignments. Problem is, the size I currently have, 255/50/17 is discontinued by most manufacturers. So I need to find another option to go with. I did like the way the BFG's performed, but am looking for something better. My criteria are good handling, low noise, and decent tread wear. While I realize this may be impossible to have all these things, any ideas would be appreciated. I'm looking for handling performance, rather than straight line grip with the occasional visits to the road course I make.

falken ziex's, kumho's, etc the ziex's are the best bang for the buck and the come in that size
Thanks. I've been looking at the Kumho's. Problem is, after reading reviews on most tires, you find some that like a certain tire and think they are the greatest, while some think the same tire is the worst ever made. I've also been looking at the Firehawks. Reviews are generally favorable on them, although they are a little more money.
