Default winter tires for 2003 v6 mustang

This will be the first winter with my mustang and need some help on what type of winter tires to get? I live in Pa, and you never know what the winter will bring. What are the best brand of winter tires for my car and where could I get them for a good price. Any places on the internet that I can order them???

Also, I heard putting something heavy in your trunk like sand helps it drive better in the snow? Any other suggestions???

Im from kansas so we get alot of snow at times as well, i just ran into some snow with 20" hankooks. spare tire and i bought prepacked sand at walmart, i didnt slip up too bad. just be careful with your speed and taking corners and you should do fine. my neighbor uses michellin on his eclipse all year round, just reasearch for your best set of wheels wit a good price.

i bought this:
Firestone Winterforce $95 a tire

Firestone Winterforce

17" Sport Edition Wheels $113 each

Sport Edition F7 Silver Painted

free mounting and balancing all for $900. the rims actually look really nice on the car to. i felt it was money well spent. its my first winter with the car too so we shall see how the tires handle

i forgot to mention the tread depth is deep its about 1/2 a quarter i didnt have a ruler on hand. i chose them because i wanted something that would get me out of crap. i didnt want a $150 performance snow tire that did not have a deep tread.
