Default 18" Wheel question

What would all of the differences be between a 7.5" wide wheel
with a 44 offset and a 9" wide wheel with a 24 offset?

a 9" wide wheel will allow you to put some nice beefy tires on your stang.

the 7.5" wide wheels will be pretty narrow. I would say around 215 versus the 255+ for the 9"

This is not for my Mustang. I am looking for the differences
in offset, backspacing, etc. In other words, how much will
stick out from the hub with the 7.5" wide 44 offset, how much
will stick out from the hub with the 9" wide 24 offset?
For my 2007 Sport Trac Limited 4X4. I am currently running
the factory 7.5" wheel, 44 offset, with 1.25" spacers. I want
to go to a custom wheel, 9" wide, 24 offset, NO SPACERS, but I want to maintain the look where the tires are flush with the fenders.

Wheel Offset Calculator

Try the above link.

By my calculations, the outside edge of the wheel (not the tire) will move outward 1.54" if you switch from the 7.5" to the 9" wheel. That means that the inside edge won't move.
