Default Michelin Pilot Sport A/S

Ordered a set of these for my '07 GT, OEM 235/55-17 size.

Looking to do more "grand touring" than heavy cornering, roads aren't very nice up here anyway. Plus with winter coming I would like to take it out every now and then when the roads dry/clear up. In the summer wet traction is important too. What is your opinion of these tires, and thanks in advance!!

Mike.

If they perform like the Pilot Sport PS2s I have used for a while, they will do what the manufacturer claims, and offer a surprising contribution to ride comfort. Not sure about tread life, but all else is good to excellent.

Nice choice, I'd say.

The Pilot Sport A/S used to come with a 45,000 mile warranty, but I don't think it still does. If you have a lead foot and put your traction to the test, expect 30-35,000. It's a great wet weather tire and has pretty good ratings in snow conditions (as per Michelin factory testing). I sold a set to a guy in a Porche 911 and he took his car to a track day a few weeks later. He came back with the outer edges of his tires completely melted off, so I can't speak for how well they will hold up if you push them to the limit. If you say you're more interested in "grand touring" then you should be fine. Just check your pressure regularly and rotate them about every 6,000 miles.
