Default Hoosier drag radials

i'm fixing to buy two dr's for my car and was wondering if a tire is d.o.t approved then it is street legal, right. Hoosier has a warning out for there new drag radial that it is for track use. can these be used on the street?

And, they won't last long.

If you want to use them, your best bet is an extra set of wheels with the drag slicks mounted. Put on the drag tires, drive to the track, then drive home and take them off again.

the last thing you want to do is get caught in the rain with those.....

mount on a separate set of wheels for track use only......
