Default new rims... did i make a mistake?

hey guys, i purchased Anthracite Mustang Bullitt Wheel - 2005+ (17X9) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!
and im trying to get some all season tires... first off, will they fit on my 2005 mustang GT convertible or will i end up messing up something else? the hood i got wont ship till the second of december, and its going into the paintbooth before that, and the tires i was lookin for are for those size, i could go 235's but then it will be a really rough ride. any help guys?

235 is the stock tire width. i believe the stock rims are 17x9 anyway.

Don't think it would, since many Mustang owners put on bigger and wider wheels than 17" x 9". Think you should research the proper tire size though.

If you go on to many different sites, like Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels for example, they will tell you the proper size.

I know that for the 18x9's, 255 is the proper width. I am planning on getting 18x10's in the rear and running 275 or 285 on them myself. As long as you recalibrate your speedo with a tuner, your speedometer will not be off.

Anything bigger than 255 up front and you run the risk of rubbing.

American muscle actually lists the proper size right on the page of that link you posted btw
