i have a 1983 mustang gt with 26x10x15 on the back, i was wondering how big of tires i can fit with stock suspension,its also a 5-speed is 26" tall better than 28" tall or vice versa , and how wide can i go [are taller tires harder on the transmission] any help would be appreciated, my goal is to go as fast as i can and drive on the street but that being said im not worried about how it handles on the street im willing to sacrifice ease for speed. p.s. i would like to stick with 15" rims .

I think a 15x8 with 5.5'' back spacing and a 275/60 15. Which is about 28 inches tall and about 10.8 wide, and 7.60% larger than stock, any bigger you'll rub the outer fender lips and the quad shocks if you still gottem.
