Default gt500 wheel tire size

So im thinking about getting some gt500 wheels because my 20" dd bullits are nearing the end of their run. Unfortunetly i have only been able to find gt500 wheels in 18x9.5. will i be able to run a 285 tire on the back? Thats what im running right now but its on a 20x10.5 wheel. I want a clean look but with wide tires in the back. On the other hand, is there a specific handeling advantage to having wider tires in the back? I guess the only sacrafice to have wider tires is that you cant rotate, but o well right. Anyways just give me your input on the situation, and it will be greatly appreciated.

wider in the back gives you better grip and better acceleration. so ive heard.
you can probably run a 285/35 back there..
i think you might be able to try a 315/35 if you want really wide.

285/40/18 is what the GT500 comes with on the rear
255/45/18 on the front.

Its what I run also.
