Question whats the Best offset for a 1966?

Hi ! i was just trying to find out what would be the best offset for my 66 coupe ,i currently have 18inch wheels with 4.5 offset but am selling them to get some much deeper dished 16inch superlites ,i have to get them made so the offset can be what ever it needs to be. I am thinking 3.1/4 to 3.5 in 7-8 inch rims ,dose this sound about right? any help would be super appreciated thanks

you would have to measure you distance from the hub to your fender lip, then take it from there, leave your self like an extra 1/2 inch though so the tires don't hit, mmmm better make that 3/4 or so

i ordered special offset wheels for my torino and don't ya know the 10 inch wide wheels were actually 10.5" wide, so it was that much that made em rub-thats why i said give a little extra-
