2007 Mustang GT wheels 9'' into a 1972 Mach 1

Hello Gents, i got a set of 2007 Mustang GT aluminum polished wheels that i want to put into my 1972 mach1, wheels 18X9 and seem to have 7'' backspacing & tires 235/45/18Z but they are worn out and i am thinking on geting 255/45/18Z all around.

Question, should i go with a 1'' 1/4 or 2'' wheel spacers/adapters?

Before you stuff a set of 18" wheels with that kind of backspacing on your ride make sure your wheel bearings are in good shape.Even with wheel spacers you could pre-load your front bearings and have serious problems. The bearings bind up and fall apart.
