tire sizes for 2005+ mustang gt does anyone know what the widest possible tire I can fit under an s197 mustang i really want to go 305 or 315 on a 20inch wheel is this even possible.

The widest you can go is 10in rim which works fine with the 305, I have 305 35 18 drag radials and they fit on 18X10. If you ever plan to race that car dont get bulky 20in rims save that for the chrysler 300. If you want the 20 for looks only sure maybe.

maybe ill just get 18s then. those are going to be a summer set but will i be able to drive in heavy rain when it happens with drag radials.

315s will fit on an 18x10 wheel.

should be it's the same body and the wheels are interchangeable between the gt and v-6

Can you put 255 and/or 285 on 18x10 wheels? I'd like to buy Roush wheels and they are 18x10..

i think 255 is too small but why would you want a 255 as your rear tire.

No not rear, front, like the GT500...255 front and 285 rear...But going 285 all around would be a good idea...

Ok, but I want to buy Roush forged wheels, and they are 18x10...So I could go with 285 all around or even something bigger?

thats strange that they only have 18x10 cause i looked on the site because every other place the biggest front wheel they will give me is a 18x9 if the 18x10 fits in the front i guess you could put a 275 or 285
