Gang, I have a stock GT 500 but want to race it in Atlanta. What tire and wheel package should I look into getting? What offset should the tires have? I want to get a great set of tires and wheels so your help is appreciated. Iguana

Upgrade that brake fluid!
And if this is your first time, you might want to just stick with the stock tire/wheel set up for the 1st time out with it. The F1's actually do pretty well, I run the same size/tire as the GT500

The factory wheels are actually pretty good. Not the best, mind you. But pretty good. I use stock Ford wheels on my track car.

For tires, you have some pretty good choices. The Kumho V710 is a common favorite. This is what I use, and I'm pretty happy with them. They last me all season, and that's a lot of track miles and heat cycles.

But the Toyo R888 is starting to impress some of the pros.

Hoosier came out with some very nice tires, the R6 and A6. But they're pretty pricey.

Nitto's aren't too bad for a beginner. But the sizes are limited.
