Default Tire help for 20" wheels

I have been running on 275/35/20 falcons, and needless to say they suck for tracktion when you want to go. I will need to buy new rear tires soon and im having trouble finding the right set up for my car. I have a 07 GT with a vortec blower, 373 gears, and upr lower control arms. i have been looking at the nitto 555 drag radials but dont feel like droping $500 every 10,000 miles or sooner the way i like to drive, but i want good traction for racing. right know i have to baby the car out of 1st, and half of 2nd before i can realy get on it and build boost. does any one know if i can fit a 275/45/20 on my rear wheels if i have only droped my rear end 1.25". any suggestions?

I run Nitto 555 street tires and have been more than happy. Dry traction is very good.

I have the Nitto 555 also street tires and they work good. But with a lot of HP and racing your not going to get good mileage from tires. Maybe a separate set for racing would be a good idea.

depending on how much rain you get..... here in BC we get all four seasons and al ot of rain and my newly acquired Toyo all-season Proxes have held up awesome!

if anything at all i would have gone with the nitto invo tires as my second choice for an all-seasonal performance tire.

Nitto 555's or BFG drag radials. Also, try going a bit wider. 285/35 or 295/30 would fit nicely

I'm running Pirelli P-Zero Rossas on my 20"s and can't complain.
