Exclamation Need Help With Wider Size Tires for my 1990 Fox Body

I would like to know what's the widest wheel I can go on the rear of my 1990 stock stang I have 235/45 17 wheels is there any wider size that can fit my rear without having to change my rims?

Well how wide are your rims? If they are 8 inch wide, you could run 275/40's thats what I run on mine. Probably run a 245/45 or 255/40 on a 7 or 7.5 inch wide. If you run 9 inch rims, you could go probably 295/40 (35?), but you would probably have to take the quad shocks off and "massage" the inner fenders at that point.

If he goes with a 295, he'll definetly have to remove his quad shocks. I have 305x35x18 on my 96 SVT Cobra, and had to remove the quad shocks for clearance, Mike D.
