I recently added the Cobra R brake kit to my 83 Capri. As such I need a new spare that will fit over the 13" rotors in front.

I have heard that some 16" spares will fit and all 17" will.

My question is, will a spare from a late model 17" car fit in the spare tire well in the hatch of my 83?

If anyone can help me out please let me know. I am assuming these late model spares are the "space saver" type?

It would really stink if I had to tie it to the roof!!!!

It should fit, The rim is bigger and you normally have less sidewall, so it should fit in there
