Default Opinions wanted. 07 GT/CS upgrading to chrome rims and wider Nitto tires

Was just wondering what other Mustang owners think of this wheel upgrade, and any issues I should be aware of? Currently have a stock 18 Polished Alum rims with 235/50-zr18 all around.
Want to go with a staggered setup with Chrome 2005+ Deep Dish Bullitt Wheel (18x10)on the rear with NITTO Extreme Performance NT555 Tire (285/40-18)

Fronts would be 18x9's with Nitto's 255/45-18's. Considering lowering with H&R Super Sport Springs (2005+ GT/V6)which would lower the front 1.5 and rear 1.9 inches. Am I lowering the car too much for this setup? How is tire wear with a directional tire like this with a staggered setup that does not allow rotation? Only run the car in warm weather months April thru November.

I think it would be a little too low though. Try the Roush suspension or the FRPP handling pack. They lower .75 and 1.5 respectively.

And get the rims and tires first, then evaluate later if you want to lower the car.

nice fit, and will fit just fine. You will want to lower it, makes it look 10x better.
Springs will be ok, but like hotshot said, frpp/eibach pro kit will not be so much of a drop, but still a good drop. his #'s on the drop are just a little off
  • Front: 1.3”
  • Rear: 1.4”

As far as tread wear. Well they will wear a little uneven, but not drastic, and considering how much you will be driving it, I dont think its something to worry about.
The tires I have are not directional so I can still rotate them from side to side, but that's not a big advantage anyway.

Thanks for the information. Your wheels and lowered look is very nice. Just the look I'm shooting for but don't want to go too low and have issues like tires rubbing or worse. Will definetely have rims and tires on the car before I lower it though.
