1987 Mustang Rims What size should I get?

I've been hunting around for some rims for my mustang and I think I've finally decided on what style I want. I have two issues that are still bothering me. Im not sure if 18 inch rims will fit (with enough space for the right amount of tire) or would 17's be a safer bet? I don't want any rubbing or anything like that. Ive asked around and most shops sound like they are just trying to get me to buy. I just need to know exactly what to look for. Please help me.

well i cant help you much but i can tell you (from what ive heard)that the 18's will rub on the front and you need to modify the rear wheel well lip has to be modified
