Default how much weight savings with ultra light wheels??

just trying to decide what wheels to go with. Still want some style but if I can shave a few pounds while I'm at it, that would be a bonus. Do these steeda ultralight wheels shed enough weight to even worry about???

Or are there other lighter wheels out there that actually look alright???

My girlfriend calls it a waste of money, but I see it as saving money(and time away from her) if I install it myself

Depends on what you are looking for from the saved weight.
Can't see it making much difference to your performance speed wise, but it will give you less unsprung weight. Less unsprung weight will contribute to better handling.

I heard that the steeda 18s weighed less then stock 17s and with the standard tire size they put on weigh about the same as 17s, 20s i guess would be the same except like 18s.

k, so really not enough to even worry about. I wouldn't go with 20's just based on the fact that the mustangs ride isn't that great already with the 18's. Just wanted to go wider out back. And seeing as theres no wider chrome bullitts that match the stock ones...I'll have to get a full set, unless I go with the deep dishes. Does anyone run these with the stock bullitts up front??? Would that look stupid??

The overall weight difference of the wheels isn't much in the grand scheme. It is the rotational mass. A bigger rim has more metal, metal weighs more than rubber. Therefore it takes more torque to get it spinning and more clamping force to stop it. I don't know if you will notice or not, but I can tell you this; I put 24'' rims on my escalade with the same overall diameter as the stockers and I feel the difference starting and stopping. Standard in front and deep dish in back looks cool. They call it staggered. In fact you can buy complete sets with staggered stance from any company that sells packages. Also, if you wanted to go with a wider rim that looks the same from the side you can have the rim widened. I have 03 Cobra wheels (that have no lip) That are 9'' wide. I had the rear wheels widened 2''. Now the rears are 11'' wide. They machine it apart, add what ever width you want (to the back of the wheel) and weld them back together. Remember you will have to make up the offset difference with a wheel spacer. It cost me $440 with shipping. Weldcraft is the company. Awesome work. They guarantee them to balance. If I knew how to post pics I would show you. Go to their website they hava a gallery. If you go to my gallery you will see I have 315's on stock Cobra wheels.
