Okay, I'm about to have a new set of shoes put on, but I have a question. Each of the tires has a yellow dot on the sidewall about 1/4" diameter. I've heard various things about this dot (should be mounted with dot at valve, etc)

Does anyone have the real info on what this dot means????

Depending on the vendor, it is either the lightest or heaviest spot on the tire. If it is the lightest, it is suggested to mount the dot with the valve stem and vice versa.

As a rule the dot is the lightsest spot and the location for the valve stem.
