Default Correct Tire Pressure for a 1994 Mustang GT?

Guy's: Just replaced the 245/45-17's on my 94GT and was wondering what tire pressure you all recommend. I have 42 psi in right now since the max pressure listed on the tire is 50psi. I ran my old ones at 35psi but the edges wore quicker which tells me they were under inflated. No sticker on the inside of the door panel from Ford with a recommendation. Thx for your replies.>>>AJ

I usually go 5 or a little more LESS then the MAX on the tires when warmed up.

If our cars are rated at 35 but our tire holds 50 max i would not think that using the recommended rating on our cars would suit the tire. Its only a little over half. Dont sound right to me.

Mine are rated at 40 and i have 37 on the rear and 35 on the front.

Tire blowouts are more common on UNDER-inflated tires. I think your right on the money.
