Default 1995 mustang gt What's the widest tire I can use on the 16x7.5 factory ponys

I'm looking into getting some new tires for the stang but I hate the factory tire diameters. I was thinking of using a wider tire in the rear with the factory size up front. What's the widest tire you've seen on a factory 16x7.5 pony wheel?

Probably 255`s, but they will bulge a bit. Kinda of like 275s bulge on 8 inches wide. be carful, some sizes are smaller and don't bulge. Remember, if they bulge, they won`t use up properly and will tend to rub off in the center, so your gonna have to monitor PSi often. If you wanna be safe, take some 225`s or 235`s, you'll have better traction that way. I personally like the bulge, so if you do, check some companies out. For instance Falken Ziex tend to be conservative in size. If you compare a BF gforce to the Falkens in the same size, you'll notice the Bf is larger. So again a 255 from a company that stays smaller will fit perfect, where i`d worry a bf 255 would just bulge out. Obviously being wider looking and providing good traction at low psi.

I love a tire that bulges out, my old boss's 03 mach 1's rear tires bulge and i think it looks awesome! I'm going to have to check out the Falken's.
