Default Sumitomo HRZ II

I ordered 4 Sumitomo HRZ II's (265/35/18) from AmericanMuscle. Two of the original 4 the shop said they had buldges in the sidwalls, so AmericanMuscle replaced them. One of the new ones grew a buldge driving home and blew out as i pulled in my drive way. The shop replaced that one. Now a about a week from all this starting another tires sidewall is buldging out and im about to lose this one too.

Im not driving crazy at all, is this normal? Im ready to count my losses and just buy 4 Toyo's or Nitto's.

that sounds like a very high failure rate. i would find another brand and spend the extra bucks on a brand that does quality checks

Oh no, I was going to buy this brand in the morning. I can't find another brand that comes close to their price.

I've had the HTR Z's for about a year now and have had no problems with them. Sorry to hear about your problems with the II's but you could look into the HTR Z's or just spend more on a really nice tire. Good luck with either route.

You didn't mention how long it's been since the set was mounted on your ride...

Just wondering why you would be out the $600?...

I'd call the tire manufacturer, if you have your original sales receipt and your shops contact info about the first two tires... That sounds like an extremely dangerous problem... if they don't remedy it!

I'd would have to duke this out with the manufacturer - no doubt. I'd also make AM aware your new ones busted (again, depends how long they have been on the car)... this way maybe they can contact the company, also... they want their customers to be safe, I am positive about that!

Two weeks ago 2 of them had bulges on sidewalls 2 hours after I left the tire shop. 3 days later another sidewall, and busted while I was driving, then 7 days ago another sidewall bulge. All 4 crapped out on me within 7 days.

AM's customer service was amazing! I took pics off my phone and sent them to them, when I left for work. couple hours later, checked my email, and they already shipped.

Now Im gonna replace them because I have lost trust in them for my safety. Going back to Toyo Proxes.
