Default What size tire ACTUALLY fits under mustang?

I've asked a few times what tire fits under a 1990 mustang and I kept getting told that a 275/60/15 will. Well after buying a pair and finding out that these things will fit under with ALOT of modification, I'd like to get a trie which fits comfortably with no need to modify. In order to get a 275/60/15 tire to fit I would have reroute the exhaust or cut it short, pound in the wheel well, roll the fenders, and lose the quad shock. Plus hope that it doesn't bottom out and hit the tire... As you can see these tires do fit comfortably at all.

So, if anyone knows of a tire which will fit with no need to modify that would be great. Plus being a good size. Thanks!

what size rims do you have on the car? and is it the width of the tire that is causing the most problems or the side wall height? try going with a tire that has a shorter side wall measurement and maybe a slightly skinnier tire.

Well the quad shocks had to go to make room. I have 295/50/15 with some lip rolling on the fenders and I am good. I will be getting some drag radials 275/50 so I foresee no problems. It might be the side wall height of 60 and that will make the tire chunky.
