i got Falken Ziox S/TZ-01 P275/50R-17 on the back of my 2006 mustang
and thay look good and work just fine with the stock wheels

It sounds like a good reason for another mod. But yes safety should be what comes first then looks.

There's a difference between working fine and fitting safely. You must have a tremendous sidewall bulge cramming that much tire onto an 8" rim.

I agree, putting a 275 tire on a 8 inch wheel is dangerous. I plan on putting 275 on my rears, but I have 9.5 inch wheels.

i dont think i have to much bulge on the side wall .
if you dont mind a pic of a dirty mustang ill post a pic of the tires

Sure... I'm just curious... I've never heard of a 275 series tire safely fitting an 8" rim. How long have you been running them?

They stick out a little more beyond the rim than I'd be comfortable with but it doesn't look like the sidewall is compromised in any way.
