Default Getting a set of Falken Tires for my 1989 mustang, please give me some input...

I have a set of the 16" ponies on my stang. Im ordering new tires right now from discounttiredirect.com because they will let me pay them off, and i kinda need that right now with my low budget. Plus,Ive heard many good things about them from the car fanatics in my family. Ive read up on tons of reviews on tires. Im looking to get a good sporty all year round tire. I decided to go with The Falken Ziex ZE-512's. I didnt want to go too big on the front just in case so i think ill go with the 225/45ZR-16 93W. Now for the Rear, i was originally going to go with the 245/50ZR-16's. Now the 245s fit EZ on the back of my 89 GT. But then i noticed something! I can get a pair of 255/50ZR-16 99W XL's and their actually cheaper then the 245s even though they have higher endurance and performance ratings. So i did the math. 245s are about 9.6" wide so the 255's should be 10" wide. Im guessing that their shouldn't be a problem with putting them on the back, but i figured id look for some input on the matter before i actually place the order. Any input would be apprecaited.

falken has a good tread on there tires for good driving, but you should check that width for the back see if anyone you know has them already

I've had my Falkens since February and have been happy with them so far. They have held up well against the crappy roads in my town and have done well in the rain also. I think the 16" Ponys were an 8" wide wheel so a 245/50-16 should fit nicely, according to the specs on Falkens website. Whatever size you choose just make sure the overall diameter is the same as the stock size. And yes, I did get falken tire jokes from my friends.
