Default wheel size for disc brake clearance?

Hey guys,

I've searched on the thread, but haven't found anything.

First off, what size wheels are a direct fit (no spacing or anything needed) for a 1966 v8 fastback?

Next, what size wheels will allow enough clearance for a future disc brake upgrade IF I choose to do so?

Thanks, guys.

Stock as can be, just trying to reverse the damage the previous owner caused.

Mustangs Plus says an 17x8 with 4 3/4 will fit with zero problems. You shouldn't have any problems fitting disks under them either.

The stock brakes will fit under 14s where most aftermarket kits require 15s. 13" rotor kits require 17+ wheels.

I run 15X7 Magnum 500's on my 66 Fastback, with the factory disc brakes, and have no problems with fit at all. I run 225 60 15 BFG Radial T/A's
