Default widest tire on pony wheel?

hey everyone i was just wondering what is the widest rear tire u can fit on the pony rim?

BFG shows that their Drag Radials 255/50r16 which is 10.3 section width wide, 26.1 tall will work on a 16x7 pony wheel. See link below for chart.

I would only go with what tire manufacturers reccomend to operate your vehicle safely.
The Tire Rack and Discount Tire have good sites. You can search by brand, tire size, wheel size for your vehicle.

265's on the back without taking out the quad shocks. I would not go any wider than 235 on the front but a 245 will work with a little rubbing at times.

245's on the front will not rub, ive ran falken 245's all the way around with zero rubbing, this is also what i recommend, 245's

I guess it depends on the car my 86 rubbed with the 245's on the front it also tracked really bad on the HWY with the 265's on the back with the 245's on the front the 235's fixed the HWY tracking.
